iPhone Shade
I was commissioned to design and print an iPhone sun shade for a client who worked outside. They wanted the camera to remain exposed and for the shade to be easily put on and removed. This was my solution and it seemed to work well for them.
GRIDFINITY LOUPE HOLDER
A chronicle of my on-going Gridfinity implementation (Gridfinitification) in my crafting area and anywhere else I see fit. Includes printing of existing designs, mods, and original designs (available for free of course). I have some magnifying loupes that I would like to Grifinitificate. I have looked online and found existing designs, but they all put the loupes in right side up or upside down. They’re good designs but they can be improved. The current designs make it difficult to impossible to see the magnification of the loupe printed on the side, and they leave the lenses exposed. My improved design has the loupes on their side to show the magnification label, and has raised walls that protect the lenses without impeding access. There’s also finger recesses to make the loupes easier to grab. This design is available for download for free at my Thangs page.
GRIDFINITY LOUPE HOLDER
My cat is a goofy guy who only drinks from the sink. He also can’t see to figure out how to do it without getting soaked. The cat water fountain is a removable sink attachment that makes it easier for him to drink. Fountain V1 is the product of many iterations. This trial and error honed in on the sink’s irregular geometry and optimized material usage. I use Fountain V1 every day and it is much better than not using it, but it can be improved. Part of the wall has broken (though still works) due to being too thin. The O-ring fits poorly, moves around, and water leaks through. Fountain V2 improves on V1 by increasing wall thickness to improve strength, replaces the O-ring with a soft rubber gasket, and curves the nozzle upwards to improve drinking ergonomics.
